The Cannon Beach Gallery is pleased to present our Ephemera exhibit. Featuring Installation work by artist Elizabeth Burger and Assemblages by Linda Dove. Elizabeth Burger’s Work is guided and shaped by materials found in her immediate environment. Combining found materials with clay, cement, and wood to create numerous installation and outdoor sculpture. Living in a rural area has allowed the artist to become immersed in the natural world in a very personal way. This is a series of animal/plant hybrids that is inspired by the repetition, systems, and patterning in nature. Artist Linda Dove has worked with fiber for more than 40 years. Starting out with room sized rope and jute sculpture and handmade paper sculptures. For this exhibition she is working with smaller formats layering handmade paper to build niches for collaged elements. Using both natural and man-made detritus, the artist joins together dissimilar elements to suggest possible narratives.
