OPEN Auditions
Our contemporary dance company is holding open auditions on Monday, March 1st starting at 5:00pm at 737 East Harbor Drive, Warrenton. To comply with restrictions, dancers must reserve an audition time prior to arriving. Dancers must reserve their audition time by emailing denelesweet@gmail.com
thE company will be casting three age groups: tweens, teens and young adults. There are opportunities for beginning, intermediate, and advanced dancers. Beginning dancers will be given simple choreography upon arrival at their audition time. Intermediate and advanced dancers will learn their audition choreography on their own sent via email, and present it during their audition time.
To receive your audition choreography, email denelesweet@gmail.com OR call 503-861-1637, and a link will be emailed to you. All dancers will need to arrive at auditions in black leotard, tights or athletic pants, a solid, plain, fitted shirt (optional), and barefeet.
Additional audition opportunity: This year, thE company is accepting Young Artist choreography as part of the performance collection. Young Choreographers can submit up to 1 minute of original choreography, and must also be cast in the ensemble to be considered. Dancers must reserve their audition time by emailing denelesweet@gmail.com
There are no audition or tuition fees to participate in this community outreach project. Dancers must be available for all rehearsals & performances.
thE company is a non-profit, all-volunteer, performing arts outreach program created by local professional artists and educators to be a creative, safe outlet for young artists in our Community to express themselves, especially in challenging times.
