Join us on Thursday, October 26th in the Lovell Showroom for “North Coast Salmon & Trout Habitat Snorkel Surveys”, presented by Graham Klag & Kelli Daffron, North Coast Watershed Association.

Do you know exactly where salmon and trout grow up in Oregon’s north coast streams? Do you know where they spawn, or where their habitat could be improved? Join us as we kick off this year’s Nature Matters speaker series to explore the North Coast Watershed Association’s (NCWA) work this summer with our partners at the Necanicum Watershed Council, and Bio-Surveys LLC to conduct the first-ever snorkel surveys of 300-plus miles of streams from Necarney to Gnat Creek. Join us as NCWA staff take a deep dive into the ways that data collected about salmonid presence, abundance, beaver dams, water temperature, barriers, and other factors will be used to pinpoint areas where our watershed restoration and enhancement actions can make a big difference for the little salmonids that depend on the health of our ecosystem!
