This year Fire Prevention Week will be October 8-14, 2023. During this week the Astoria Fire Department will be busy spreading this year’s fire safety message; “Cooking safety starts with YOU. Pay attention to fire prevention™,” works to educate everyone about
simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe when cooking.
In preparation for fire prevention week, Astoria Firefighters are having an open house. Astoria Firefighters would like to invite everyone to our open house. The open house will be held at Astoria Fire Station #1, 555 30th Street from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on August 26th . There will be food, games for kids, fire truck tours, additional public safety agencies, a prize raffle and lots of fire prevention and fire safety information. Astoria Fire Department members will also be available to answer any questions that you may have. The City of Astoria and the Astoria Fire Department are committed to keeping the community safe.
