Polar plunge is a chance to step out of your comfort zone by jumping into an unforgettable experience that directly impacts the lives of athletes in Clatsop County!

Join our plunge team!  Plunge into Coffenbury Lake on February 17th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.  Your financial donation will provide our local athletes with access to sports, activities, and community. 
100% of all proceeds stay in Clatsop County.
Special Olympics Oregon is a statewide year-round sports program for Oregon’s children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Oregon Special Olympics offers training and competition opportunities in 14 different Olympic style sports. We serve the largest disability population in the state, more than 5000 individuals, ages eight and above.

The vision of special Olympics is to help bring persons with intellectual disabilities into the larger society under conditions, whereby they are respected and included. The mission of Special Olympics, Oregon is to provide year-round, sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic type sports for children and adults with disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness demonstrate courage, experience, joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other special Olympic athletes, and the community.
The programs are free to all eligible athletes in are possible thanks to the generous support from individuals and businesses, who believe in special Olympic athletes. The financial support raised by this polar plunge will go primarily to fund out of town transportation to competitions and events. Again, all proceeds stay in Clatsop county.
