Northwest Piano Trio returns to Cannon Beach 3:00p.m., Sunday, April 21st. They will be performing at Cannon Beach Community Church, located in downtown Cannon Beach, at 132 E. Washington St. The concert theme is “Seasons of Dance.” This concert is free and open to the public. The Northwest Piano Trio includes Esther Shim on violin, Hannah Hillebrand on Cello, and Stephanie Smith playing the seven-foot Steinway Grand Piano at Community Church. The Northwest Piano Trio was founded in Fall 2014. Esther Shim attended DePauw University in Indiana for Violin Performance. She plays with Portland Festival Symphony, Willamette Master Chorus, and subs with the Oregon Symphony. Hannah Hillebrand received her master’s degree in cello performance with Hamilton Cheifetz at Portland State University in 2014. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance (1998) from University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master of Music in Chamber Music Performance (2001) from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Based in Portland, OR, the Northwest Piano Trio is committed to the performance of traditional classical music while also exploring the music of 20th and 21st century composers.
