PSA SPOT FOR JULY 5TH BEACH CLEANUP
On Wednesday , July 5, there will be another Long Beach Peninsula beach cleanup, headed by the GrassRoots Garbage Gang, covering the entire 26 miles of beach. Lots of help is needed to pick up the trash, which is especially bad after fireworks, so the call is going out to all who enjoy the beach and care about the coastal environment. Please show up around 9:30am at any major beach approach on the peninsula. A coordinator will greet you, give you bags to fill, get you started and tell you about the free soup, chili and chowder feed afterward! Bring your gloves, family, friends, and good walking shoes, and join the group! It’s good exercise and gives you a wonderful feeling of satisfaction….and who knows what you may find?
