It is that time of the year again – come on out to the lake on the 29th of April and support the Fisheries Technology class at Astoria High School.
Ticket sales & Derby start at 7:00 AM on April 29. Fishing for derby prizes will be allowed till 3:00 PM.
We will be releasing 75-100 color-tagged, big, and beautiful rainbow trout into the lake. (1-3 lbs -student-reared). Some of these fish look more like salmon than trout and are real hogs!
Show up, purchase as many ticket(s) as you like for $10 each and go fishing! If you catch a color-marked fish (plastic wire on the side of the fish, just past the dorsal fin), bring it to the Derby Headquarters table and redeem a ticket for one of our many prizes donated by local businesses. GRAND PRIZES: Guided trips for Winter Steelhead and Sport Crabbing.
