On September 13, 2020 at 2:13am Clatsop County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Knappa Dock RD in rural Clatsop County for a reported shooting. When deputies arrived on scene they safely took the suspect into custody without incident. The victim, 34-year-old Jeremy Puerta, was transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The suspect, 31-year-old Cody S. Roger of Knappa Oregon, was lodged at the Clatsop County Jail on the following charges: Assault II, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Recklessly Endangering, and Menacing.
The investigation is still on going at this time.
