KMUN debuts new, stronger radio frequency today in Cannon Beach – tune us in there at 89.3 FM

By the end of the day today, Friday, our new and improved Cannon Beach translator will go live with a different, stronger frequency.

So, if you are a listener who lives in the Cannon Beach area and surrounding communities, and have previously listened to us at 89.5 on your radio dial, after today you can tune to 89.3 FM. The new 89.3 signal will be much stronger than the old 89.5 frequency, and so you should get much better reception. Once 89.3 is live, the old 89.5 frequency goes dark in the Cannon Beach area.

Listeners elsewhere in our coverage area, north of Cannon Beach will still be able to hear KMUN on 91.9 fm, and in Tillamook at 89.5. You can always stream us at kmun.org or find us on your phone or tablet using your favorite streaming app. Tune In is one.

This is a huge drumroll moment for our station – this project has literally been in the works for years. So many kudos to KMUN’s manager Graham Nystrom for making this a reality. This new stronger signal in the Cannon Beach area will mean much better reception for listeners there.

The new 89.3 frequency should be live by the end of the day today. And thanks for your patience as we put the pieces together on this one.
