The Warrenton Community Library is hosting author James A. Tweedie at “Library After Dark” on Saturday, February 14th at 4:00pm.
James A. Tweedie is a retired pastor, author, poet, photographer and composer who has lived and worked in California, Utah, Scotland, Australia, Hawaii, and presently in Long Beach, Washington. As a “self-publisher” he has published over 35 titles with Dunecrest Press of which 15 are his own, including six novels, four collections of poetry, and one collection of short stories. His award-winning poetry and short stories have appeared nationally and internationally in both online and print anthologies. If someone would pay him, he would be a professional optimist, but, in lieu of a sponsor, he has been forced to maintain his status as an amateur.
Author’s Presentation:
“Laughing Matters—Poetry, Prose & Serious Fun”
With a focus on poetry and humor, Tweedie will be sharing the best and worst of his poetry along with some selections of prose and a little music to spice things up. And yes, for St. Valentine’s Day there will be a love poem or two!
Author talk starts at 4:00pm; refreshments and mingling at 5:00pm. Special thanks to Gaetano’s Market & Deli for sponsoring the food.
