Clatsop County Cultural Coalition Offers a Grant Workshop – October 22nd from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
Deadline for Grant Applications – 5:00pm, October 31st
ASTORIA, ORE.—The deadline is approaching for qualified nonprofit organizations to submit their applications for a 2025 grant from the Clatsop County Cultural Coalition.
Applications must be received by mail or email by 5:00pm October 31st. Awards—for projects that support, maintain, preserve and protect cultural programs in the arts, heritage and humanities in Clatsop County— will be announced in late December 2024, with checks presented at an award ceremony at 6:00pm on Friday, January 17th, at the Barbey Maritime Center on the Columbia River Maritime campus.
Organizations with 501(c)3 nonprofit status that are registered with the Oregon Cultural Trust are eligible to apply for grants. Public schools, libraries, and municipalities may apply if their project fits the Clatsop Cultural Coalition requirement that it support, maintain, preserve and protect cultural programs in the arts (visual and performing), heritage, and humanities. Individuals may apply when sponsored by an Oregon Cultural Trust registered non-profit acting as fiscal agent.
To help individuals and organizations prepare to submit applications, the coalition is holding a grant- writing workshop from 6:00pm to 7:30pm Tuesday, October 22nd. It will take place at the Art Loft on Marine Drive in Astoria; Zoom options are available.
This is an opportunity to ask questions, seek advice, and learn more the metrics the coalition uses when reviewing and ranking applications. About the Clatsop County Cultural Coalition Grants
Clatsop County Cultural Coalition grant awards are for activities occurring between January 1st, 2025, and December 31st, 2025. Grant funds of up to $2,500 are available per project. Funding priorities include:
• Raising awareness of culture in the visual and performing arts, heritage, and/ or humanities.
• Supporting the preservation, functionality, and/or sustained usage of physical facilities for visual and performing arts, heritage, and/or humanities in Clatsop County.
• Strengthening the overall health of existing nonprofit organizations, schools, individuals, or businesses related to visual and performing arts, heritage, and/or humanities in Clatsop County.
The Clatsop County Cultural Coalition strives to nurture culture in Clatsop County and promote the Oregon Cultural Trust. Allocating cultural trust funds in the form of grants is the Coalition’s primary function. Members represent diverse geographic locations and participate in the full range of local arts, heritage, and humanities. Members also can be selected at large. The Coalition endeavors to encourage support and participation in our culture in any way our combined resources can provide.
