 , October 31st\nASTORIA\, ORE.—The deadline is approaching for qualified
  nonprofit organizations to submit their applications for a 2025 grant fro
 m the Clatsop County Cultural Coalition.\nApplications must be received by
  mail or email by 5:00pm October 31st. Awards—for projects that support\
 , maintain\, preserve and protect cultural programs in the arts\, heritage
  and humanities in Clatsop County— will be announced in late December 20
 24\, with checks presented at an award ceremony at 6:00pm on Friday\, Janu
 ary 17th\, at the Barbey Maritime Center on the Columbia River Maritime ca
 mpus.\nOrganizations with 501(c)3 nonprofit status that are registered wit
 h the Oregon Cultural Trust are eligible to apply for grants. Public schoo
 ls\, libraries\, and municipalities may apply if their project fits the Cl
 atsop Cultural Coalition requirement that it support\, maintain\, preserve
  and protect cultural programs in the arts (visual and performing)\, herit
 age\, and humanities. Individuals may apply when sponsored by an Oregon Cu
 ltural Trust registered non-profit acting as fiscal agent.\nTo help indivi
 duals and organizations prepare to submit applications\, the coalition is 
 holding a grant- writing workshop from 6:00pm to 7:30pm Tuesday\, October 
 22nd. It will take place at the Art Loft on Marine Drive in Astoria\; Zoom
  options are available.\nThis is an opportunity to ask questions\, seek ad
 vice\, and learn more the metrics the coalition uses when reviewing and ra

 ndex.html.\nAbout the Clatsop County Cultural Coalition Grants\nClatsop Co
 unty Cultural Coalition grant awards are for activities occurring between 
 January 1st\, 2025\, and December 31st\, 2025. Grant funds of up to $2\,50
 0 are available per project. Funding priorities include:\n• Raising awar
 eness of culture in the visual and performing arts\, heritage\, and/ or hu
 manities.\n• Supporting the preservation\, functionality\, and/or sustai
 ned usage of physical facilities for visual and performing arts\, heritage
 \, and/or humanities in Clatsop County.\n• Strengthening the overall hea
 lth of existing nonprofit organizations\, schools\, individuals\, or busin
 esses related to visual and performing arts\, heritage\, and/or humanities
  in Clatsop County.\nThe Clatsop County Cultural Coalition strives to nurt
 ure culture in Clatsop County and promote the Oregon Cultural Trust. Alloc
 ating cultural trust funds in the form of grants is the Coalition’s prim
 ary function. Members represent diverse geographic locations and participa
 te in the full range of local arts\, heritage\, and humanities. Members al
 so can be selected at large. The Coalition endeavors to encourage support 
 and participation in our culture in any way our combined resources can pro
 vide.
