The fun starts at 11:00am on Saturday, June 27th and runs until 3:00pm. During these four hours, the pond will have powered vessels maneuvering a course for observation and some hands-on driving time for some lucky participants. Inside the Barbey Maritime Center there will be static displays with the builders to discuss the intricacies of model building and some tips for people wanting to get started. The Sam Johnson Woodworking Shop will also be open to learn about how the space is utilized with programs for adult learners. There will also be crafts and activities for the whole group to enjoy. From 12:30pm – 1:30pm any participant can operate the museum’s Springer Tugboat Fleet through a course.
