Jon Tullis retired from a 38 year career at the historic Timberline Lodge at the end of 2022 and relocated to the North Coast. Having focused his career at Timberline on governmental affairs, planning, promotion, community outreach, and historic preservation, Jon served on various boards including Travel Portland, The Pacific Northwest Ski Areas Association, and The Oregon Heritage Commission. He'll tell you however that his most enjoyable task while at Timberline was producing an annual music series at the Lodge which featured live folk, bluegrass, and Americana music and allowed him to host and present a lot of his favorite performers.
Jon and his wife Dee are enjoying the Coast and getting involved in numerous organizations. Jon is the host of KMUN's River of Songs program, which airs every Friday morning from 10:00am to noon. The show features what he refers to as "songs for coastal dwellers, songs of the waterways, and songs with a sense of place." Jon is thrilled to have become a part of Coast Community Radio and now looks forward to his expanded role as a board member.
