Local News: Clatsop County bus route changes Feb 3
For bus riders in Clatsop County, the Sunset Empire Transportation District has changed some routes and they want to get the word out.
Changes take effect Feb 3rd. New route information and schedules are available at ridethebus.org, The new schedule info is also posted in bus shelters, on busses, and at the Astoria and Seaside Transit Offices.
Here are some highlights of those changes: SETD will begin connector service between Astoria and Portland. The service will run three times a day, seven days a week. It will service Svenson, Knappa, Westport, Clatskanie, Rainier, St. Helens and Scappoose on its way to Union Station in Portland. The fare will be $15 dollars, with lesser fares for boardings or alightings at the intermediate stops.
Other changes will mean additional service on the weekend and additional loops during weekday service.
Representatives will be located at the Seaside Cinema stop, the Fred Meyer stop and the Astoria Transit Center beginning 6:00 am on February 3rd, to assist riders with route information.
