On May 16th we will meet at the Barbey Maritime Center from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Then we will view various species of trees along the bank of the Columbia River. The group will proceed from the Riverwalk to the county courthouse to visit the biggest Giant Sequoia in Clatsop County and a Coastal Redwood on Bond Street, while discussing dendrochronology and what it can tell us about history.
