Legendary pianist Dainius Vaicekonis comes to the historic Raymond Theatre on Sunday, September 8th. Sunday Afternoon Live is indeed privileged to welcome this celebrated master of the keys for a free concert at 2:00pm. Dr. Vaicekonis received his undergraduate degree at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, and from there went on to earn advanced degrees and a doctorate in the United States. He is a professor of piano at Seattle Pacific University and has also mentored and judged young performers, including those competing for the prestigious Frances Walton Award. Dr. Vaicekonis has appeared on stages from Benaroya Hall to Tula’s Jazz Club in Seattle. He has performed extensively with his wife Asta, thrilling audiences with such works as Piazzolla’s classical gem “Libertango” and “Old Adam and the Serpent’s Kiss” by William Bolcom. Listeners will revel in this artist’s intensity, grace, and versatility. It’s a can’t-miss show! Donations will be gratefully accepted!
