Sunday, February 9th at 11:15am at the Grace Episcopal Church in Astoria will be the Grace Food Pantry’s second annual fundraiser: chili (three kinds available: beef, chicken, and vegetarian), cornbread, coffee/tea, and mixed-berry crisp. Cost: $10 or three cans of hearty soup or chili for distribution to food-pantry clients. Come in your favorite football-game wear, enjoy fellowship and a good lunch. Takeout available.
Grace Food Pantry is a partner agency of the Regional Food Bank and relies on grants, donations, and fundraisers. Food insufficiency affects all walks of life and all age groups. Grace Food Pantry is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am to 11:30am and provides a three-day emergency food supply to eligible locals. Last year 1,110 families were served.
