What is a Masquerade Noir?

A Masquerade with a Noir theme means that guests dress chiefly in black and white, or dark colors, and don elegant masks, sometimes covering their faces so they’re in disguise. Think black suits, dark dresses, and elegant accessories. You might picture Renaissance Venice, or 1920s Paris. Of course, you may dress however you like!

Masquerade balls were especially popular in Italy from the 15th to 19th centuries, and were outlawed by Napoleon, becoming underground events. They may be the reason we still have costume parties to this day. We love the history and glamour of a ball such as these, paired with exquisite Oregon truffles!
