NORTHWEST PIANO TRIO CONCERT IN CANNON BEACH
Northwest Piano Trio performs in Cannon Beach at 3:00pm Sunday, December 15th, playing holiday and Christmas favorites. The concert venue is Cannon Beach Community Church, 132 E. Washington St. in downtown Cannon Beach. This concert is part of the 7th Annual Cannon Beach Steinway Piano Concert Series. The Northwest Piano Trio includes Esther Shim on violin, Hannah Hillebrand on Cello, and pianist Stephanie Smith performing on the Community Church Steinway seven-foot grand piano. Esther Shim plays violin with Portland Festival Symphony, Willamette Master Chorus, and sometimes with the Oregon Symphony. Hannah Hillebrand completed her master’s degree in cello performance with Hamilton Cheifetz at Portland State University in 2014. While pursuing her degree, she participated in masterclasses with artists such as the Takacs String Quartet, the Tokyo String Quartet and cellists Johannes Moser and Alban Gerhardt. Stephanie Smith holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance (1998) from University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master of Music in Chamber Music Performance (2001) from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. The Northwest Piano Trio, founded in 2014, is based in Portland, Oregon. The concert is free and open to the public. Donations to support Northwest Piano Trio may be given at the door.
