Imagine a musical journey that weaves through time and space, guided by the pictorial timeline adorning the Astoria Column’s exterior. Musical Stairs invites you to experience fifty minutes of enchanting melodies performed by a talented ensemble of musicians. From trumpets to flutes and an array of string instruments and soulful vocals, the sounds will resonate within the very heart of the Column itself.
This is a FREE concert. Chair Seating for 150 will be available. Those who prefer a cozy spot may bring blankets and settle on the grass.
A sound system on the grounds and a live radio broadcast will ensure that every note reaches your ears, whether near the Column or gazing from afar.
Parking at the Column will be CLOSED. Complimentary shuttles to and from the Column will run from 5:30 to 9:30 pm from the parking lots at the Astoria Middle School and Clatsop Community College.
