Montreal Guitar Trio—MG3—invite you to journey with them to the windswept plains of the west. These masters of guitar will immerse you in the wild, melodic, percussive and unforgettable music of Ennio Morricone, the composer of soundtracks from “A Fistful of Dollars”; “For A Few Dollars More”; “The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly”; and “Once Upon A Time In The West”. For over 25 years, MG3 have featured the songs of Morriconi in their performances and albums; for our Sunday Afternoon Live audience, they will perform a special and spectacular tribute concert to honor the prolific film composer. The CBC has characterized MG3 as “the hottest guitar gathering in Canada”. They will bring their fire and eloquence to the stage of the historic Raymond Theatre on Sunday, October 27th at 2:00 PM. Their world-class performances include mandolin, bass, accordion, violin, and vocals as they present unique interpretations of Morriconi’s works. On October 28th, MG3 will offer an outreach concert for local public school students, also at the Raymond Theatre. Both concerts are guaranteed to have listeners on the edges of their seats!
