On Saturday, January 17th, 2026 the Seaside Public Library will welcome back author Zoë Bossiere for a writing workshop called, “Writing About Family.” The event will take place at 2:00pm in the Community Room. Some of the most compelling memoirs are based on our relationships to and with our families. In this 90-minute session, Zoë Bossiere, author of Cactus Country: A Boyhood Memoir will provide tried-and-true approaches to crafting family stories from your lived experiences. During the session, writers will have the opportunity to read short memoirs, participate in guided group discussions, and begin to write their own family story from a series of generative prompts.
