Each year from September 15th to October 15th, our country observes National Hispanic Heritage Month. During this month, we recognize the contributions and influence of Hispanic and
Latino/a/x peoples to the history, culture and achievements of the United States. It’s also a time to celebrate the heritage, traditions, languages and cultures of our varied Latinx communities.
This year, Consejo Hispano is happy to announce that on Saturday, September 21st they will be hosting their third Annual Hispanic/Latinx Heritage celebration in Seaside in collaboration with Sunset Empire Park and Recreation District, and for the first time will also be hosting a celebratory event in Tillamook.
These are FREE events open to the entire community, providing fun and enjoyment for the whole family! We’ll have dance performances, magic/comedy show, folk art workshops, and delicious food and beverages for FREE. There will also be a small Artisan Fair where Oregon Latinx artisans will be selling
their creations.
We encourage everyone in the community to join us in the celebration of Hispanic/Latinx culture! Consejo Hispano is a Latinx-led nonprofit organization grounded in culturally-specific practices providing services that support youth, Latinx, and families to reach their full potential. We promote community wellbeing by ensuring people can provide for themselves and one another, build intergenerational wealth, and stay connected to our culture. Consejo Hispano serves the counties of Clatsop, Columbia,
and Tillamook in Oregon, as well as Pacific County in Washington.
