Wild Salmon Center to Host Community Event – Forests and Ales – Protecting Forests, Fish, and Rivers on the North Coast

Join us at Fort George Brewery’s Lovell Showroom in Astoria, Oregon, on October 30th, 2025 at 5:00pm for a community event to discuss upcoming changes to state forest management, and efforts to restore healthy forests, clean water, wild salmon and steelhead runs and the habitats they depend on in the North Coast. This event is sponsored by Wild Salmon Center, North Coast Communities for Watershed Protection, Seven Capes Bird Alliance and Stand Tall Oregon. Featured speakers from Wild Salmon Center include Michael Lang, Oregon senior policy manager, Kirk Blaine, Oregon senior wild fish manager and Cyndi Curtis, North Coast habitat restoration manager.

The title and theme of the event is “Forests & Ales: Protecting Forests, Fish, and Rivers on the North Coast.” Following the presentations, the three speakers will participate in a Q&A panel.

Doors open at 5:00pm for social hour, presentations and panel Q&A from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Wild Salmon Center is hosting the first round of beverages (beer, wine, N.A.) for the first 50 attendees!

We hope to see you on October 30th at 5:00pm.
