New Hat Exhibition opening with Driftwood & Daffodils at Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum in Ilwaco, WA.

The third annual Driftwood & Daffodils will be hosted by the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum in Ilwaco, April 4th and 5th, 2025. Part contest, part show, this event features a driftwood contest and a daffodil show.

Registration for the event is open now. Registration forms and more information can be found at CPHM’s website www.ColumbiaPacificHeritageMuseum.org or by stopping by the museum. Entries can be dropped of on Thursday April 3rd at the museum from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Ribbons will be awarded in multiple categories in addition to “Best in Show” and “People’s Choice” awards.

Along with displays of the submissions which will be on view April 4th and 5th from 10:00am to 4:00pm, the museum will also host a Spring Daffodil Tea on Saturday April 5th. Two seatings will be offered, one at 11:30am and one at 2:00pm and reservations are required. A curated assortment of teas, savories and sweet treats will be served. The cost is $35 per person. The exhibition “Topping it Off: Hats from the Collection” will open to the public at the same time. From felt cloches to straw boaters this exhibition will feature hats from the 1900s through the fashionable 1960s. Some help to tell the stories of Peninsula families while others are simply beautiful expressions of the milliner’s art.
