Saturday, April 26, 2025: The fishing derby is organized and run by the aquatic biology program at Astoria High School. 50 tagged trout, about 2-4 lbs, will be released into Coffenbury Lake. tickets will be 10 dollars each; all tickets will be bought and turned in at the derby stand at the north end of the lake. If a fish is caught, you can turn in your ticket and pick your choice of prize. all unused tickets will be summited to a raffle at 2:00 pm for any unclaimed prizes. all proceeds go to the AHS Eldon Korpela scholarship for students entering the field of natural resources.
