What Is a Village?
A Village is a neighbor‑to‑neighbor network that helps people stay connected and independent at home as they age. With a strong volunteer base, we’ll offer activities, services, shared resources and opportunities for meaningful community engagement. Seaside and the surrounding area are exploring the creation of a new Village as part of the VillagesNW hub‑and‑spoke model, shaped by and for our local communities.

We’re Seeking Village Builders (“Founders”)
Typically, it takes 2 years of behind-the-scenes work to create a Village that offers activities and services.
During that time, we’ll be getting acquainted, socializing, cataloging needs, and building our volunteer base of eventual service providers, including drivers. No experience needed – just your good ideas and a willingness to commit to creating a Village where ‘neighbors help neighbors stay neighbors.’

Everyone Is Welcome – come learn, listen, and explore whether being part of a Village feels right for you. Questions? Contact seaside@villagesnw.org
