B4BC’s Skate the River is returning to Portland, OR since 2014! In partnership with Rockstar Energy Open, Skate the River is a 5-mile tribute ride-style skate-bike-roll along the breathtaking Willamette River, welcoming all ages, abilities, and wheels to join B4BC in their push for prevention. The event aims to spread B4BC’s mission of a healthy, active lifestyle + early detection as the best means of breast cancer prevention, with a fundraising goal of $20,000 supporting the nonprofit’s education, prevention and survivorship programs.
The course will begin at Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park near the Rockstar Energy Open venue entrance on Sunday, August 25th at 9:00am. From there, participants will cruise across the Steel and Tilikum bridges as they ride in honor of those affected by breast cancer.
To join B4BC in this push for prevention, individuals simply register, fundraise, and skate-bike-roll! There is a minimum $25 registration donation, which will include a goodie bag and raffle tickets.
