AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Exit, Pursued by a Bear by Lauren Gunderson
April 8th & 9th at 7:00pm
Director Jolene Magee is seeking four actors, two males and two females, adults aged 18-50, for the Ten Fifteen Theater’s third production of its 2024 season: Exit, Pursued by a Bear.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Please bring a list of conflicts between April 14th and June 15th. The show will run for three weekends between May 31st and June 15th.

Characters:
Nan Carter (f); woman who has reached the confrontation point with her abusive, antagonistic, redneck husband, Kyle Carter.
Kyle Carter (m); Nan’s abusive husband, big messy man, loves hunting a bit too much.
Sweetheart/Peaches/Super Kyle (f); 20 something, stripper, dressed like a super hot version of Kyle.
Simon (m); pretty, strong, and bitchy. Wears a cheerleading uniform. Endlessly supportive gay man.
About the Show: Nan has decided to teach her abusive husband Kyle a lesson. With the help of her friend Simon (acting as her emotional — and actual — cheerleader) and a stripper named Sweetheart, she tapes Kyle to a chair and forces him to watch as they reenacts scenes from their painful past. In the piece de resistance, they plan to cover the room in meat and honey so Kyle will be mauled by a bear. Through this night of emotional trials and ridiculous theatrics, Nan and Kyle are both freed from their past in this smart, dark revenge comedy.
