Brent Follis – Drummer, producer, and founder of Single Malt Trio, Brent Follis brings a rich blend of experience, versatility, and dedication to his craft. Raised in Southern Illinois, he studied at Southern Illinois University before spending a decade immersed in
New York City’s music scene. Now based in Portland, he is a sought-after session drummer and first-call performer, admired for his supportive, understated style that elevates every ensemble.

Dan Faehnle – Internationally acclaimed jazz guitarist Dan Faehnle has earned praise for his virtuosity and versatility, from intimate clubs to world stages. Rising to prominence
as guitarist with the Diana Krall Quartet, he has toured globally and received recognition from The New York Times, JazzTimes, and DownBeat. Based in Portland, Faehnle has collaborated with legends such as Leroy Vinnegar, Dave Frishberg, Clark Terry, and
recorded with Pink Martini.

Tim Gilson (special guest) – Portland bassist and educator Tim Gilson has built an acclaimed career in performance, teaching, and composition. A finalist in the International Society of Bassists Jazz Competition, he has performed with artists such as Mose Allison, Bud Shank, Herb Ellis, and Herbie Hancock, and toured Japan with the Mel Brown Quintet. He served as Principal Bassist with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra before returning to Portland, where he directs the Mt. Hood Community College Orchestra, teaches at PSU, and performs with the Mel Brown Trio and Septet.
