KMUN is volunteered-powered!
Since 1983, KMUN has relied on local on-air volunteers to produce and broadcast high-quality radio programs for our listeners. Volunteers also run things behind the scenes at the front desk, in the music library, during mailings, during outreach events, and more. Volunteers are truly the station’s life source. We do our best to get you involved with what is most important to you at KMUN.
Want to learn how to make radio?
Our Program Director teaches Radio 101 multiple times throughout the year where anyone can learn to make great radio. Our on-air schedule is always evolving, so whether you have a specific show in mind or want to jump into an existing program, we want to hear from you.
Want to get involved off-air?
There are many moving parts that keep a community radio station running smoothly. If being a host on-air is not your thing, we have plenty of volunteer opportunities available behind the scenes. It’s a great way to meet fellow volunteers and get involved with your community.
