DESCRIPTION:Join us for a preschool open house! Wave of the Future is a Mon
 tessori Arts &amp\; Ecology school in Seaview\, Washington serving childre
 n ages 2.5 to 6 years.\nWe nurture the development of the whole child by c
 ultivating independent action\, critical thought\, and foundational skills
 . Caring for the environment\, empathy for others\, social ease and confid
 ence are integral to Montessori education.\nArts education and appreciatio
 n are both integrated in our approach in the classroom and beyond. In conj
 unction with the Sou’wester Artist Residency program\, we regularly coll
 aborate with visiting artists-in-residence and have the opportunity to exp
 lore new\, unique materials\, tools and processes. We have worked with cer
 amics\, movement\, performance art\, natural dyes\, mural painting\, music
 \, songwriting.\nOur nature based curriculum includes daily unstructured t
 ime during our wilderness walks\, a year round garden\, and ongoing season
 al ecological lessons incorporated into group projects and visits from loc
 al organizations.\nWe accept two types of subsidies for eligible families\
 ; Working Connections Child Care (Washington Residents) and Military Child
  Care in Your Neighborhood (Coast Card and other Military families)
