Indivisible North Coast Oregon is sponsoring a Vocal Uprising which is a community-powered chorus where people come together to raise their voices for courage, connection, and joy. Led by a small team of song leaders, we draw from the Singing Resistance movement that emerged in Minneapolis, MN during Operation Metro Surge, the violent federal immigration operations during the winter of 25/26 (and ongoing). Singing Resistance groups are springing up all over the country. We are proud to be one of them.
We gather the second and fourth Fridays for Community Sings through the summer, at 5:30pm in the Garden of Surging Waves in downtown Astoria. Join us!!! Check out our calendar to confirm.
