The booth will offer easy-to-underst and information about Oregon’s proposed Universal Health Plan\, to be su bmitted to the Legislature in September 2026.\nHCAO is a statewide\, nonpa rtisan coalition working to expand access to affordable\, high-quality hea lth care for all Oregonians. The Tillamook Chapter’s booth will give fai rgoers the chance to ask questions\, pick up brochures\, and learn how Ore gon’s Universal Health Plan could affect families\, workers\, and small businesses across the North Coast.\nThe Universal Health Plan Governance B oard (UHPGB)\, appointed by the Oregon Legislature\, is developing a compr ehensive plan that would cover every Oregon resident\, eliminate deductibl es and co-pays at the point of care\, expand primary care and behavioral h ealth\, and include dental and vision coverage as part of a whole-person h ealth approach. The Board is scheduled to submit its final recommendation to the Legislature by September 15th\, 2026.\nHCAO’s booth will:\n• Ex plain how the plan would work for everyday Oregonians.\n• Distribute a f our-page brochure summarizing benefits\, costs\, and common questions.\n • Provide a contact sheet for Tillamook County’s state legislators and Governor’s office\, so residents can share their views when the plan re aches the Legislature.\n• Invite fairgoers to sign up for updates and vo lunteer opportunities.\n“We want people to know what this plan is\, what it promises\, and how it could help\,” said a representative from the T illamook Chapter of HCAO. “After they understand the bill\, we want them to help make sure the Legislature acts on it.”\nThe Tillamook County Fa ir runs August 5th–8th\, 10:00am to 10:00pm daily.
