The Harbor will be having a fundraiser on May 20th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The Harbor’s Mission is to provide advocacy, prevention, and support to promote self-determination and hope for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. The Harbor has provided a range of services completely free and confidential since 1976. Our goal is to break the cycle of violence through education, one-on-one emotional support, financial assistance, and referrals.
Through direct advocacy and a strong relationship with a network of community partners throughout Oregon, The Harbor is able to ensure that survivors are heard and can access the services they need. The Harbor staffs a 24-hour crisis line and is an integral part of Clatsop County’s Domestic and Sexual Assault Response Team, reaching survivors 24-hours a day. We will assist with safety planning, accompany to medical exams, court appearances and will provide confidential emergency shelter services for individuals
and their children. In 2022, The Harbor provided services to nearly 500 survivors, and prevention education to 300 middle and high school students. The Harbor began partnering with school districts and other educational organizations beginning in March of 2021 to help students between the ages of 13-24 by teaching, modeling and encouraging positive social behaviors that contribute to the school community, to solve problems in peaceful ways and to value diversity and defend human rights in order to work together to
better understand issues such as bullying, intimidation, harassment, discrimination, racism, sexism, transphobia, and homophobia, and learned new skills to respond effectively to these issues.
Services are directly funded by events like the Soup Bowl. Thank You!
