  objects including natural phenomena\, human\, and cities with various fil
 m formats\, and layers them in elaborate configurations during the editing
  process. They burst perpetually with detail and movement\, creating an al
 most a psychedelic experience for the viewer.\nHis organic yet imaginative
  films are highly regarded internationally.\nMakino is currently based in 
 Japan and presents movies\, music\, installation\, audiovisual performance
 s around the world. He was awarded the Tiger Award at International Film F
 estival Rotterdam in 2011 and also received various awards at several inte
 rnational film festivals including Hamburg International Short Film Festiv
 al\, Moscow International Film Festival\, and he also awarded the Grand Pr
 ize at 25FPS International Experimental Film and Video Festival.\nHis cine
 ma works have been screened in over 120 cities around the world. Recently
