 latest and 12th album release\, "Where I Lived\," on Friday\, February 20t

 ickets $25 online at kalaastoria.com.\nBorn and raised in the Jackson\, Mi
 ssissippi\, Claire Holley grew up listening to her Dad’s classical (and 
 country) records and soaking up her grandmother’s jazz piano playing. Sh
 e began writing songs in college\, and thanks to the support of WUNCand a 
 generous producer\, stumbled into a career of music. Her self-titled debut
  from Yep Roc Records was featured on NPR’s Weekend Edition\, and Huffin
 gton Post called Claire’s voice “achingly beautiful.”\nSince living 
 in Los Angeles\, Claire has written music for theater productions (includi
 ng the Actors Co-op in Hollywood\, Westmark School in Encino\, CA and Miss
 issippi College in Clinton\, MS)\, short and feature length films (includi
 ng two recipients of the UCLA Directors Spotlight Award)\, and a ballet un
 der the direction of David Keary. No Depression called Time in the Middle 
 “one of 2015’s finest albums” and her powdercoat ep with Kristin Moo
 ney won the 2014 MIAL “Best in Popular Music” (she’s released twelve
  records to date).\nHer latest\, WHERE I LIVED\, “a collection of intima
 te portraits shaped by Holley’s warm vocals and sublime songcraft” acc
 ording to journalist Jim Simpson for Americana Highways\, “feels timeles
 s.” Holley is on tour for the album. Bringing her to the north coast of 
 Oregon\, she’ll also be participating in a womens’s song and story ret
 reat at Calgary Episcopal Church. She lives in Los Angeles with writer Cha
