SUMMARY:Sgraffito Cups Clay Play with Juliana
DESCRIPTION:Students will explore form\, surface\, and illustration through
  the creation of a soft-slab cup. Session One begins with designing and ha
 nd-building your cup using soft slabs while we discuss functional forms an
 d approaches to planning surface imagery. After lunch\, we’ll return to 
 apply a base coat of underglaze to the freshly made piece. You’ll learn 
 how to bring your design to life using sgraffito. The class will include a
  demonstration on carving illustrations through the underglaze layer\, as 
 well as how to transfer a printed image onto your cup to guide your carvin
 g. By the end of the class\, you’ll have a fully decorated piece that be
