 al Sankta Lucia Festival of Lights\, representing Astoria's Nordic heritag
 e\, takes place at 7:00pm on Friday\, November 29th at the Astoria High Sc
 hool Auditorium and Commons.\nLucia will lead her attendants and Star Boys
  in the traditional lighted procession and make her time-honored holiday-s
 eason declaration to the Astoria community. This year's Lucia bride is Ril
 ey Phillips\, runner-up to Miss Scandinavia 2024.\nThe celebration include
 s Christmas carols led by Astoria's Nordic Youth Choir\, performances by t
 he Astoria Nordic-Viking-Scandia Dancers\, lighting of the Christmas tree\
 , festive music by the Polka Dots and dancing. Refreshments for the event 
 will be provided by the Friends of Suomi Hall. Admission for the evening i
 s $1 per person or $5 per family. Proceeds benefit the Astoria Scandinavia
 n Midsummer Festival Association Scholarship Fund.\n
