 ERE–AGAIN!\, a new play resisting the rise of authoritarianism. \nThis
  is the second phase of WDA’s nationwide literary celebration of resista
 nce to the threat of losing our democracy. On July 19\, 2024\, more than 9
 0 readings of this simple script were simultaneously mounted in theaters\,
  bookstores\, bars\, churches\, parks\, and living rooms all across the na
 tion. Thousands of people accepted WDA’s invitation to stand strong for 
 democracy in America. And now they are doing it again.\nIT CAN’T HAPPEN 
 HERE-AGAIN! is inspired by the Sinclair Lewis play It Can’t Happen Here\
 , which was presented across the nation on October 27\, 1936 as a New Deal
  rallying cry against the rise of fascism in the US. Now\, only days befor
 e the 2024 presidential election\, and honoring the Lewis anniversary\, th
 at cry must be heard again.\nWe invite everyone to join us in this nationw
 ide event.  It is a call to action and a call to vote. Vote! Vote!”\nTh
