 merican Pit Bull Terrier mix who weighs 67 pounds and has been with us at 
 South Pacific County Humane Society for about 40 days. He came to our shel
 ter after being transferred from an overcrowded\, high-intake shelter wher
 e his chances of finding a home were uncertain. Thanks to that second chan
 ce\, Zee is now waiting for the family who will finally give him the safe\
 , loving home he deserves.\nWith his sturdy build and handsome “tough-gu
 y” looks\, Zee might seem intimidating at first glance — but spend eve
 n a few minutes with him and you’ll quickly discover what a gentle\, ten
 der-hearted dog he really is.\nAt his core\, Zee is a sensitive soul who s
 imply wants a safe place to relax and be loved. Busy\, noisy environments 
 can feel overwhelming for him\, especially with lots of activity or young 
 children around. Because of that\, Zee would likely do best in a calm\, lo
 w-traffic adult home where he can feel secure and take things at his own p
 ace. In the right setting\, his sweet personality truly shines.\nOnce he
 ’s comfortable\, Zee’s playful side comes out. He loves tossing around
  toys\, chasing a ball\, and spending quiet time hanging out with the peop
