DESCRIPTION:After 900+ Days\, Moose Is Still Waiting\nFor nearly three year
 s Moose has been waiting for stability\, love\, and a place to truly call 
 home.\nMoose is a 9-year-old male American Staffordshire Terrier mix weigh
 ing 80 pounds. He is currently in a foster home but will return to the she
 lter in early April. His foster family\, a busy household with two childre
 n (now 8 and 10)\, cares deeply for him. However\, life has grown increasi
 ngly full\, and they never anticipated fostering for nearly two years. The
 y believe Moose deserves more time and attention than they can now provide
 .\nStaff and volunteers are urgently hoping another foster — or adopter 
 — will step forward before Moose has to return to a kennel.\nMoose is th
 e perfect balance of calm and playful. He loves walks\, tug-of-war\, belly
  rubs\, and lounging in the sunshine. Throw a ball and he’ll happily cha
 se it\, then settle in for snuggles. He’s incredibly affectionate and th
 rives on being close to his people.\nHe loves everyone he meets and does w
 onderfully with children. Gentle and patient\, Moose has formed a special 
 bond with the kids in his foster home. He also does well when left alone 
 — free-roaming calmly without barking or separation anxiety.\nMoose has 
 allergies and takes medication\, fully covered by the shelter. In fact\, a
 ll fostering expenses are provided\, including food\, veterinary care\, me
 dications\, toys\, and supplies as needed.\nMoose may do best as the only 
 dog\, but with a slow\, structured introduction and several meet-and-greet
 s\, he could adjust to a canine companion. Cats are a no-go for Moose\; he
  needs a cat-free environment.\nAs April approaches\, those who know Moose
  hope someone will give this loyal\, loving boy the soft place to land he 
 so deserves.\n
