DESCRIPTION:This spring\, the Seaside Public Library invites the community 
 to take part in One Book\, One Coast\, a shared reading initiative connect
 ing more than 130 library systems across California\, Oregon\, and Washing
 ton.\nAs the largest book club on the West Coast\, One Book\, One Coast br
 ings readers together around one book to create opportunities for conversa
 tion\, reflection\, and meaningful connection across neighborhoods\, citie
 s\, and state lines. The Seaside Public Library and its partners will read
  and discuss “They Called Us Enemy” by George Takei\, Steven Scott\, a
 nd Justin Eisinger\, and illustrated by Harmony Becker.\nThe library has m
 ultiple copies of the book available to borrow. Unlimited digital copies o
 f the eBook will be available from April 1 - June 6 through our digital pl
 atform. And thanks to the generous support of the Seaside Library Friends 
 &amp\; Foundation\, 25 copies of the book are available to the community f
 ree of charge to take\, read\, share\, and then keep or return to the libr
 ary for other members of the community to enjoy.\nThe Seaside Public Libra
 ry will offer a book discussion opportunity on Friday\, April 17th at 2:00
 pm in the Community Room designed to bring community members together in c
 onversation.
