SUMMARY:North Oregon Coast Symphony Presents Concert Series : Adventures in
  Sound
DESCRIPTION:The North Oregon Coast Symphony continues its 2025-26 season wi
 th two concerts in March titled “Adventures in Sound.” The concerts ar
 e designed to appeal to children as well as adults\, and the program will 
 begin with Serge Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf". This classic children's
  tale set to music is perfect for introducing young people to the various 
 orchestral instruments\, as each character in the story is represented by 
 a musical "voice." Local favorite\nLiz Cole\, an award-winning stage and T
 V actor\, will return as narrator. Before the concert begins there will be
  an instrumental “petting zoo”\, an opportunity  for children and the
 ir adults to play some of the orchestral instruments. The program also fea
 tures the rousing 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky\, Holst’s Jupiter from Th
 e Planets\, Grieg’s In the Hall of the Mountain King\, and Glider’s Ru
 ssian Sailor’s Dance. Cookies and refreshments will be available at both
  concerts during intermission.\nThe first concert will take place on Satur
 day\, March 14th at the Nehalem Elementary School Gym (36300 8th St.\, Neh
 alem\, OR) beginning at 3:00pm.\nThe second concert will be on Sunday\, Ma
 rch 15th\, at the Bob Chisholm Community Center (1225 Avenue A\, Seaside\,
  OR) at 3:00pm.\nAdmission for both concerts will be: $10 Adults\, ages 18
  and under FREE (children 12 and under with adult supervision).\nTickets w
 ill be available at the door only for these concerts.\nThis non-profit orc
 hestra\, under the direction of conductor Cory Pederson\, brings together 
 musicians from the north Oregon and south Washington coast to perform clas
