SUMMARY:North Coast Symphonic Band Free Concert: "Spirit of America"
DESCRIPTION:The North Coast Symphonic Band (NCSB) presents a program of mus
 ic for Independence Day featuring patriotic and American music at 7:00pm W
 ednesday\, July 3rd\, 2024 at the historic Liberty Theatre. The band is co
 nducted by Terry Dahlgren of Warrenton\, Oregon. The concert is sponsored 
 by a generous donation from the Astoria Clowns.\nThe concert will feature 
 a parade of patriotic marches\, circus marches\, nostalgic callbacks\, pat
 riotic tributes\, and more\, according to Dahlgren. Local singer Bereniece
  Jones-Centeno will be the vocal soloist. NCSB Board President Brian Bergm
 an will be the concert’s emcee.\nDoors open at 6:00pm for the July 3rd c
 oncert\, and admission is free. The Liberty Theatre is located at the corn
 er of 12th and Commercial streets in Astoria.\nThe North Coast Symphonic B
 and is composed of local musicians of all ages who enjoy networking\, lear
 ning from each other\, and maintaining their skill levels in a positive an
 d supportive environment. Rehearsals are from 7:00pm to 9:00pm Mondays at 
 the Charlene Larsen Center for the Performing Arts (PAC) in Astoria. Music
 ians interested in joining should email Personnel Director Lee Stromquist

 d read music\, own their own instruments\, and have advanced high school l
 evel performance skills or higher.\nThis concert concludes the 44th season
