SUMMARY:Nerikomi Utensil Holders Clay Play
DESCRIPTION:In this one-day workshop\, students will explore the art of ner
 ikomi by combining pigmented clays with naturally colored clay bodies to c
 reate layered compositions within slabs. Through cutting\, stacking\, and 
 arranging colored clay\, participants will develop bold patterns and visua
 l movement embedded directly into the material itself.\nThese custom slabs
  will then be formed into functional utensil holders\, allowing the patter
 n to wrap and flow around a larger surface. The focus will be on thoughtfu
 l composition\, clean construction\, and showcasing the inherent beauty of
  colored clay in a practical kitchen form.\nStudents will leave class with
  their utensil holders ready for drying and firing\; finished pieces will 
 be available for pickup approximately 3–4 weeks later.
