SUMMARY:Nerikomi Mugs Clay Play
DESCRIPTION:In this one-day workshop\, students will explore the art of ner
 ikomi by combining pigmented clays with naturally colored clay bodies to c
 reate layered compositions within slabs. Through cutting\, stacking\, and 
 arranging colored clay\, participants will develop bold patterns and visua
 l movement embedded directly into the material itself.\nThese custom slabs
  will then be formed into functional mugs\, allowing the pattern to wrap s
 eamlessly around the form. The focus will be on thoughtful composition\, c
 lean construction\, and showcasing the inherent beauty of colored clay.\nS
 tudents will leave class with their mugs ready for drying and firing\; fin
 ished pieces will be available for pickup approximately 3–4 weeks later.
