Join us in the Fort George Lovell showroom at 7 p.m., Dec. 22, for our next Nature Matters talk – “Sea Level Rise on the Oregon Coast: Community Science and Resilience.”

The Oregon coast is facing and tracing inevitable changes in our future. Alessandra Burgos, program manager at the Cascadia CoPes Hub, will share how the Hub is responding directly to the call to increase coastal community adaptive capacity. The evening will open with Jesse Jones, co-coordinator of the Oregon King Tides Project, an initiative now in its 13th year, engaging the public to document the effect that extreme tide events have on our beaches, coastal waterways, private property, and public infrastructure.
